The Giving Week
This year the Institute's "Giving Week" will be observed during March 16-23, 2020. It is a time when we can all come together to support the Institution, to which we owe a lot for what we are today, and make a huge and significant impact leaving a legacy to be cherished forever. You might have already contributed during recent events and reunions etc. but your contribution, even if nominal, during the forthcoming 'Giving Week' will count considerably towards the show of strength in numbers for an Institute cause. Giving week coincides with almost the end of the financial year for India, so that you can avail of the 100% tax break on your donation to IIT Delhi. The 100% tax break is also available for US donors through IITD excellence foundation (which is also benevity compliant to get 100% contribution from your company if it is enrolled). We will add the money generated from this campaign to the IIT Delhi Endowment Fund. As you must have heard, we launched an ambitious Endowment fund with a target of 1 billion US dollars by 2025. While we understand that the achievement of this target will be possible if some large donors come forward, but we want the whole of the IITD alumni community to play a role towards this cause. Thus, no amount of contribution by you will be small and each "giving", when combined with thousands of others will go a long way in helping the Institute move towards its envisioned financial self-sustainability. This year we plan to have donations from at least 1000 alumni.
