Mr. Abhishek Bansal received his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Production and Industrial Engineering from IIT, Delhi in 2012. Over the years, he has successfully established himself as an empathetic leader who has cofounded and led Shadowfax. Shadowfax is the largest crowdsourced logistics 3PL platform in India serving businesses for last-mile delivery. Shadowfax has till date provided earning opportunities to 2Mn+ youth in the country via its micro-entrepreneurship model since 2015 and currently monthly engages 150k independent partners via its proprietary platform. Under Abhishek’s leadership, Shadowfax has been voted as a ‘Great place to work’ in 2022.
The adoption of innovative technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) has powered Shadowfax to solve dependencies, redundancies, and errors that create problems in the manual order delivery process. As of October 2022, the logistics platform facilitates 1.5 million deliveries per day in more than 900 cities of India with the help of 150k+ monthly delivery partners.
Abhishek is the recipient of multiple awards like ET 40 Under Forty 2022, Forbes 30 Under 30 2019, and Business World 40 Under 40 2018. In 2017, Abhishek was identified under the ‘Champions of change’ initiative by Prime Minister Modi under the aegis of Niti Aayog.
In honouring Mr. Abhishek Bansal, IIT Delhi recognizes his entrepreneurial excellence and exemplary contributions to India’s startup ecosystem. Through his achievements, Mr. Bansal has brought glory to the name of the Institute.
