The lifelong email service to IIT Delhi alumni is provided through G-Suite for Education, a Google product oriented towards educational institutes. Your lifelong email account is part of this G-Suite package owned by the Office of Dean Alumni relations (Office of Dean alumni relations) at IIT Delhi. Your account is equivalent to any other Google Account with specific services and products made available under the G-Suite. 1. Terms of Use
Terms of use "Each account will get a maximum storage limit of 10 GB only"
Your account is subject to terms of use of Google (here) and IIT Delhi and IITD IT Usage policy. The relevant parts of the IITD IT Usage policy are as follows:
You may use your account for any personal/professional purposes as long as such use does not violate any law or IT act of the Government of India.
It is forbidden to use your account to harass, offend, or annoy other users, to send emails or messages masquerading as another person or to hide the sender's identity. Chain letters are not allowed. Neither is any form of commercial advertising, or soliciting allowed. Spamming is strictly disallowed.
In addition very user is governed by the following ‘G Suite Acceptable Use Policy’. As an end user, one agrees not to and not to allow third parties to use the Services:
to generate or facilitate unsolicited bulk commercial email;
to violate, or encourage the violation of, the legal rights of others;
for any unlawful, invasive, infringing, defamatory, or fraudulent purpose;
to intentionally distribute viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature;
to interfere with the use of the Services, or the equipment used to provide the Services, by customers, authorized resellers, or other authorized users;
to alter, disable, interfere with or circumvent any aspect of the Services;
to test or reverse-engineer the Services in order to find limitations, vulnerabilities or evade filtering capabilities;
to grant multiple individuals access to an individual End User Account other than via the delegation features provided within the Services;
to create End User Accounts assigned to business functions rather than to human beings for the purpose of sharing files within or outside of the domain;
to resell End User Accounts or parts thereof as added into a commercial product offered to third parties;
to record audio or video communications without consent if such consent is required by applicable laws and regulations (You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the relevant jurisdiction(s)).

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi respects its Alumni’s privacy regarding their provided data and G-Suite accounts data. Administrators of the G-Suite package will not access any user data such as Passwords, E-mails, Contacts or Cloud Data that a user may have stored in their associated G-Suite Account unless required to do so in accordance with a legal process. However users should note that as per terms of the G Suite for Education Agreement, “Administrators will have the ability to access all User Accounts, including the ability to access, monitor, use, modify, withhold, or disclose any data available to Users associated with their User Accounts”.
Any personally identifiable information you share with the Alumni relations Office is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. The Alumni relations Office shall use only such information a user gives consent to use for the intended purposes only. All user data shall be protected and regulated under the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2018.
