Dr. Aayush Jain

Dr. Aayush Jain graduated in 2013 from IIT Delhi with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering. He received a PhD in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2021. He was also postdoctoral Fellow, NTT Research, Inc.
Dr. Jain’s research interests lie in cryptography and its general interplay with theoretical computer science. His most notable contribution is a method to obfuscate computer programs, what is referred to as an indistinguishability obfuscation scheme, whose security is based on well-studied hard problems in computer science. His research has been recognised with the best paper award at STOC 2021, and the ACM Dissertation Award in 2022, and has been a subject of an article by Quanta magazine. Dr Jain is also recipient of Google PhD Fellowship in Security and Privacy in 2018.
In honouring Dr. Aayush Jain, IIT Delhi recognises his contributions to Teaching and Research. Through his achievements, Dr. Jain has brought glory to the name of the Institute.
