Class of 1974
The Class of 1974 celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its joining the IIT Delhi by organising a Reunion in Feb 2019 in Goa. Prior to that it had celebrated it’s Ruby Reunion in Oct 2014, and Silver Jubilee Reunion in Dec 1998, both in Delhi.
Members of the Class of 1974 will raise funds to endow a Chair to support research on the environment and its protection.
Individual members and groups of members, who wish to provide scholarships and grants to economically weak students from particularly stressed backgrounds can also do so. When endowing to these specific causes members may please clearly state the purpose at the time of making the donation and their pledges.
For Indian Residents, Donations made to IIT Delhi are eligible for 100% tax deductible without any limit under section 80G(2) (a) (iiif) of the Indian Income Tax Act (under old Tax Regime).
For US Donors, Donations made via the IIT Delhi Endowment Fund (US) via 501(c)(3) organization, are tax-deductible under US tax law. IIT Delhi’s US Federal Tax ID (EID No.) is 84-5155291. You can find IITDEF in the public charities registry here
