Mehra Chair
1966 batch alumnus Mr. Lalit Mehra has endowed the Mehra Professorial Chair at the institute. The chair seeks to promote the pursuit of excellence in education and research in the field of Design and Manufacturing Technologies.
Mr. Mehra is presently the Chairman of Tara Vati Ram Gopal Mehra Foundation, a family foundation that provides medical assistance and scholarships to the needy. He has been President and District Governor for Rotary Clubs in and around Delhi. He established the Rotary Foundation (India) and spearheaded Rotary’s effort to eradicate polio, first as Chairman of the Polioplus Campaign Committee for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and later as Vice Chairman of the National Polioplus Immunization Committee.
