Mr. Saurabh Mittal received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1995 where he graduated as the Best Graduating Student and was awarded the Alok Saxena Memorial award.
He subsequently received his Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School in 1999 where he was elected as George F Baker Scholar (high distinction).
Mr. Saurabh Mittal is the Founder and Chairman of Mission Holdings, his wholly owned strategic holding firm with focus on building strong operating platforms in technology, financial services and media. Mission Holdings is currently the largest shareholder of Incedo Inc (technology services focused data and analytics); BSI Financial (substantial fintech focused on the multi-trillion dollar mortgage industry); and ONE Championship (Asia’s largest sports media company with broadcast to over 1 billion people backed by Temasek and Sequoia). Mission Holdings also has strategic investments in Self Score (an emerging player in credit fin-tech based out of Silicon Valley and backed by Accel Partners) and a variety of other companies spread across geographies and industries.
Prior to Mission Holdings, Mr. Mittal was a senior partner at Noonday, an affiliate of Farallon Capital Management, one of the world’s largest hedge funds where he was responsible for large public and private investments in the areas of Financial Services and Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT).
Mr Mittal also co-founded Indiabulls Group, India’s leading financial services and real estate conglomeratein 1999 where he served as Co-Founder &Vice Chairman from inception till 2014.
Mr. Mittal is an active philanthropist and serves as a member of multiple non-profit boards. These include the Alumni Board of Harvard Business School; Parivaar, one of India’s largest residential school for over 2000 children from destitute backgrounds; and Avasara Academy, focused on developing young women leaders.
In honoring Mr. Saurabh Mittal, IIT Delhi recognizes the outstanding contribution made by him in Corporate Business Development &Entrepreneurship. Through his achievements, Mr. Mittal has brought glory to the name of the Institute.
