Mr. Chetan Bhagat received a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1995 from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi followed by Master of Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Chetan Bhagat is an Author, Screen Writer, Columnist & Motivational Speaker. After his studies, Mr. Bhagat worked for Goldman Sachs in their Hong Kong office as an investment banker for nearly a decade and wrote one of his most popular books “Five Point Someone” while in Hong Kong. Then, wanting to focus full-time on his writing career, he moved to Mumbai and subsequently quit his career in Investment Banking in the year 2009. He is the author of seven novels: Five Point Someone, One Night @ the Call Center, The 3 Mistakes of My Life, 2 States, Revolution 2020, Half Girlfriend, One Indian Girl and two non-fictions titles : What Young India Wants and Making India Awesome. All the books have remained bestsellers since their release and five of his books have inspired Bollywood films like Kai Po Che!, 2 States, 3 idiots, Half Girlfriend and Hello.
In 2008, The New York Times cited Mr. Bhagat as “the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history”. Time magazine named him amongst the ‘100 most influential people in the world’ and Fast Company, USA, listed him as one of the world’s ‘100 most creative people in business’.
