Amarjit Bakshi
Mr. Amarjit Singh Bakshi received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1967.
Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bakshi Group, a Delhi-based business conglomerate, Mr. Amarjit Singh Bakshi is a first-generation entrepreneur. The Bakshi group operates in the infrastructure, hospitality, defence, real estate and automotive industries. Mr. Bakshi came from a humble background and made himself a renowned industrialist in North India. He has served as the CMD of Continental Engines India since 1990 and Central Park since 2001. Continental Engines India specialises in Cylinder Heads, and low-pressure technology, and exports 85% of its products to Europe and USA while catering to companies such as Opel, BMW, Mercedes and Peugeot. Central Park is a brand known for its ultra-luxury residential spaces in the National Capital Region and has luxury residential and 5-star hospitality projects with an area of more than 5.5 million sq. ft. under its belt.
Mr. Bakshi has been a recipient of numerous awards and honours over the years, that include WCRC Leaders ASIA 2014, CNBC Awaaz Awards 2014, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Awards 2016, BBC Knowledge Awards 2017, Realty India Awards 2017, Gold Award by National Highways Awards for Excellence 2018, Best New Product Development by Volvo Eicher Motors 2019 and Lifetime Achievement Award for “Outstanding Contribution to National Development” by IIT Delhi Alumni Association.
