Abstract:

Over the last two decades, technology has changed the world at an unprecedented speed, and has fundamentally changed how we live and what our world looks like. The pace of innovation is exponential and getting faster every day – in the 21st century, it could create a world that we can barely begin to imagine.

Today, watching videos and movies on the Internet is commonplace. We can get around places easily with the entire world’s maps and satellite imagery available to us in our pocket device. The human civilization’s entire body of knowledge is instantly accessible to us, regardless of what language we speak or know of.

In this talk, I’ll share my experiences as an engineer who got the opportunity to bring about some of these changes. I’ll also share how being an engineer helped me become an entrepreneur two times over with Rubrik and Glean and what company building lessons I learnt in those journeys.
