IIT Delhi hosted the 55th Inter IIT Sports Meet along with IIT Roorkee

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi hosted the 55th edition of the Inter IIT Sports Meet. The event was inaugurated by former Indian athlete Shri Gurbachan Singh Randhawa, who was the flag bearer for India at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. All 23 IITs participated enthusiastically in the event. IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee jointly hosted the Sports Meet. The Inter IIT Sports Meet for students concluded with IIT Delhi winning the Women's General Championship. In the Overall General Championship, IIT Delhi finished as the second runners-up.

Likewise, the "27th Inter IIT Staff Sports Meet 2022" was also held at IIT Delhi, where 21 IITs participated with a total contingent size of around 1300. The IIT Delhi staff team performed exceedingly well in all games and won the "General Championship (Men)" and the "Overall Championship (Men and Women Combined)".
