IIT-Delhi Develops World’s Lightest Bulletproof Jackets

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has achieved a groundbreaking feat in protective gear, crafting the world's lightest bulletproof jackets. These state-of-the-art jackets offer superior protection while significantly reducing weight, a crucial advantage for frontline soldiers.

The jackets weigh 8.2 kg, which are over 2 kg lighter than the ones being used by the Indian Army. The jackets have been developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
