GRIP: Grassroots Innovation Programme

GRIP is a social immersion programme initiated by IIT Delhi where a group of students visit communities located in smaller towns and villages to immerse in social environments for at least one week to study, understand and identify local needs and challenges which can possibly be addressed through technology. The immersion programme provides an opportunity for students to put themselves in the shoes of end users to see problems through their lens. A cohort of thirteen students from IIT Delhi, representing diverse academic backgrounds, visited villages in Uttarakhand under this programme to address issues faced by the local communities. After identifying specific challenges, the group is now committed to take up developing technological solutions.
