IIT Delhi Launches UG Programmes at Abu Dhabi Campus

The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, has launched its first undergraduate (UG) programmes at its Abu Dhabi campus, marking a major step in the institute’s journey towards global leadership in engineering education.

The campus will offer two UG programmes — B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech in Energy Engineering — each with a capacity of 30 students. Of these, up to 10 seats per programme will be available to students who qualify through the JEE Advanced examination. The remaining 20 seats will be allocated based on the merit list of the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET), a new exam introduced by IIT Delhi specifically for the UAE.

The CAET, administered by the JEE office at IIT Delhi, is scheduled for June 23, 2024, and will be held at multiple centers across the UAE. The exam is open to UAE residents, including nationals, expatriates, and international students. Registration for CAET is open until June 10, 2024.

Students who qualify through JEE Advanced 2024 can apply for admission to IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi using their rank via a separate portal, which will be accessible from the institute’s website after the JEE Advanced results are announced. Seat allocation for IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi will be conducted through this portal for students entering through both JEE Advanced and CAET.
