55th Convocation Celebration at IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi celebrated its 55th Convocation on August 10th, marking another significant milestone in the institute's history. The ceremony was a grand affair, with distinguished guests, faculty, and graduates coming together to honor academic excellence.

This year, the institute conferred degrees upon 2,656 students, including a record number of 481 PhD students. Hari S Bhartia, founder and co-chairperson of Jubilant Bhartia Group and an IIT Delhi alumnus from the 1979 batch, served as the chief guest. During the ceremony, Harish Salve, chairperson of the Board of Governors, presented the Distinguished Alumni Awards, Graduates of Last Decade (GOLD) awards and Institute Medals to alumni and graduating students.
