Hyundai Motor Group Partners with IITs for Innovations in Batteries and Electrification

In a significant step towards fostering innovation, Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Madras to establish a collaborative research system in the fields of batteries and electrification.

At the heart of this partnership is the Hyundai Center of Excellence (CoE), which will be set up at IIT Delhi. Supported by Hyundai Motor Group’s sponsorship, the CoE aims to spearhead advancements in batteries and electrification technologies tailored to the unique needs of the Indian market.

The official agreement for the ‘Hyundai Motor Group-IIT Hyundai CoE’ was signed during a ceremony at IIT Delhi. The event was attended by Hyundai Motor Group officials and distinguished IIT representatives, including Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi; Dean Sachin C. Patwardhan of IIT Bombay; and Dean Manu Santhanam of IIT Madras.
