UN Envoy Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill welcomed at IIT Delhi for Discussion on AI Governance

IIT Delhi recently welcomed Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, UN Under-Secretary-General for Digital and Emerging Technologies and Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology, for an engaging discussion on the critical topic of AI Governance.

Mr. Gill emphasized the need for active youth involvement in shaping the Global Digital Compact. He highlighted the vital role of young innovators and students in ensuring that technology development remains fair and equitable for all.

During his visit, Mr. Gill explored the vibrant startups ecosystem nurtured at the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi. He interacted with teams from Cyran AI, Mobisec, Tensor Dynamics, and Synergy Quantum. These startups presented their innovative solutions aimed at addressing pressing societal challenges and showcased how emerging technologies can contribute to global well-being.
