C-DOT and IIT Delhi Collaborate on Building Blocks for THz Communication Front Ends
The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier telecom R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, has signed an agreement with IIT Delhi to work on “Building Blocks for THz Communication Front Ends” for 6G technology.
This collaboration is part of the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) 6G Call for Proposal by the Department of Telecommunications. The initiative aims to accelerate research and development for the 6G ecosystem, aligning with the Bharat 6G vision to design, develop, and deploy advanced 6G network technologies. These technologies aim to provide ubiquitous, intelligent, and secure connectivity for a superior quality of life.
The primary objective of this project is to develop fundamental devices and components essential for THz systems envisioned for 6G communications. Additionally, these THz systems will support applications in areas such as military communications and material characterization.
