IIT Delhi Rises to Global Top 30 in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025

IIT Delhi has cemented its position as a global leader in engineering and technology, ranking 26th worldwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025—a remarkable jump from last year’s 45th position. This achievement also makes IIT Delhi the No. 1 engineering institute in India.

Beyond engineering, IIT Delhi continues to shine across disciplines: - 146th in Natural Sciences - 75th in Social Sciences & Management - Top 100 in 12 subjects, including Computer Science, AI, Business & Management, and Environmental Sciences.

Prof. Vivek Buwa, Head of the Ranking Cell and Dean of Planning, credits this success to enhanced employer reputation, international research collaborations, and a strong global research network. Over the last seven years, IIT Delhi has launched 410 international research projects, strengthening its global academic footprint.
