IIT Delhi Launches ‘Women of Impact at IIT Delhi Awards’ on International Women’s Day sarkarijobers

IIT Delhi celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with the launch of the Women of Impact at IIT Delhi Awards, an initiative recognizing outstanding contributions by women in academia, research, and leadership. Announced by Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee, the awards reaffirm the institute’s commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment.

ADONI and IGES jointly organised a seminar with Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chairperson of the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, who spoke on Holding up Half the Sky, highlighting the importance of empowerment and equity. The van was widely appreciated and well attended. The two offices have decided to organise more such events jointly. Following the talk, a lively panel discussion, Baaton Baaton Mein, brought together faculty, staff, and students to share their experiences, challenges, and perspectives on leadership and breaking stereotypes.

Further strengthening its support for women in technology, the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), in collaboration with the IIT Delhi Alumni Association and the Academic Outreach office, announced funding opportunities under the IITD Women in AI & Robotics Initiative, offering up to INR 2 Cr to encourage women in artificial intelligence and robotics research.
