IIT Delhi Alumnus Rises to Senior Role at Central Water Commission

Mr. Elagandhula Venkateswarlu, IIT Delhi alumnus (M.Tech., Civil Engineering, Class of 2000) and resident of Nadikuda (Warangal District), has been promoted to Superintending Engineer at the Central Water Commission (CWC), New Delhi, effective June 27, 2025, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to water resources engineering.
Known for his dedicated service as Executive Engineer for the Krishna and Godavari Circle, where he advanced water management and hydrological services, Mr. Venkateswarlu will now lead critical initiatives in hydrological observations, flood forecasting, morphological studies, and water quality monitoring of the Godavari River at CWC Hyderabad. Adding to this milestone, the Hydrological Observation (GDSQ) site at Perur, Mulugu District, under his leadership, secured 1st place in the 1st Inter-Site Showcasing Competition during CWC’s 80th Foundation Day celebrations on April 14, 2025.
