IIT Delhi Celebrates its 56th Convocation, Conferring a Record 530 PhDs

IIT Delhi's 56th convocation was a landmark event, honouring 2,764 graduates and conferring a record-breaking 530 PhD degrees. The ceremony, graced by Chief Guest Dr. Tessy Thomas, highlighted the institute's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and research.

Adding to the significance of the day, Shri Harish Salve, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, inaugurated the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) Wall in the Lecture Hall Complex. This permanent installation will serve as an enduring tribute to the 151 alumni who have received the DAA since its inception in 1992. It is the highest honour IIT Delhi bestows upon its alumni for their exceptional professional achievements and profound contributions to society.
