Professor Prasoon Tiwari Memorial Scholarship
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Between Mrs. Nirajana Tiwari and INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DELHI for creation of “Professor Prasoon Tiwari Memorial Scholarship”
1. Objectives:
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mrs. Nirajana Tiwari (or “Donor,” for short,a term which shall include her nominated successors), and “The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi” (or “IITD,” or “Institute” for short) is entered into on 2025 to establish the “Professor Prasoon Tiwari Memorial Scholarship” at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
The four scholarships will be awarded as per the below table:

From 2029 same selection will continue as in year 2028 on perpetuity
2. Eligibility Criteria:
The beneficiary shall meet the following criteria:
a) The student is enrolled in the undergraduate program at IIT Delhi of first year.
b) The combined family income of the student (including the parents’ income) should be
between INR 5- 15 Lakh.
c) The student is paying 100% of their tuition fees.
d) The student should not be the beneficiary of the Vidhya Laxmi Loan.
3. Selection Criteria:
a) Among incoming students meeting the eligibility criteria, the student with the lowest family income will be awarded the scholarship.
b) If two or more students tie on the above criterion, the breaker will be JEE Advance Rank: the student with the highest rank will be awarded the scholarship.
